As superintendent of the Hart County Schools, I welcome you to our new website. This updated resource will provide increased service and communication for parents, students and educational supporters.
With the start of this new school year, we have numerous activities going on in our district. We are in the process of rewarding our summer reading participants, and we appreciate the 500+ students who continued their learning during the summer through this program.
We have started a new varsity sport--girl’s soccer-- this year, along with junior varsity girl’s and boys’ soccer teams.
We are implementing a laptop initiative at Hart County High School where all HCHS students will receive a laptop to assist in their instruction and progress. Hart County is one of six districts in the state of Kentucky to have laptops for every high school student.
Throughout the year, we will continually monitor progress of our schools and students. We will also work to implement the new Common Core State Standards for learning, given to us by the Kentucky Department of Education, in the areas of math, reading, and writing across the curriculum. We are looking forward to the challenges these new standards will bring to our staff and students.
We ask that you browse this website, from the district level sites to the individual school sites, to learn more about our Hart County Schools, as we work to create the future together . . . one student at a time.
